Its rich monumental heritage is dominated by the Castle (13th-century), the church of Nuestra Señora del Mayor Dolor, the oldest parish church in Aracena (13th-15th centuries), the La Asunción Church and the Convent of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

The town’s civil architecture includes the Town Hall, the Arias Montano Casino and the Geological and Mining Museum.

Las Maravillas Grotto, a beautiful stalactite cave with a large underground lake, deserves a special mention.
