The Plaza de toros Los Califas is the bullring of the city of Córdoba. It holds 16,900 people and is considered to be a first-rate bullring.

It opened on the 9th of May 1965, with a charity bullfight for the Spanish Association against Cancer, organised by the matador Manuel Benítez “El Cordobés” and in which José María Montilla and Zurito took part, raising funds for Carlos Nuñez.

The name of the Caliphs is in honour of the five great matadors of the province: Lagartijo, Guerrita, Machaquito, Manolete y el Cordobés. The latter was fifth Caliph in 2002.
