Alosno
Municipality of Andévalo, part of the judicial district of Valverde del Camino, where the landscape consists of agricultural land devoted to grain and olive groves, and cork oak and holm oak areas.
Alosno is a village of farmers, shepherds and millenary miners, who have known how to create an original cultural wealth with universal roots. It is considered to be the cradle of the Huelva fandango.
As buildings of interest, the chapel of el Señor de las Columnas and the church of Nuestra Señora de Gracia are worthy of mention.
History
Its origins are known about from centuries ago as the Tharsis mines are in the municipal area and they are thousands of years old. Together with other remains of Roman origin, the Mask of Tharsis was found. It dates from the VII century BC.
Both the Carthaginians as well as the Romans traded with its metals.
The mining activity stopped during Visigothic and Arabic times.
With the Christian conquest it went on to depend on the County of Niebla, until the dissolution of the landed estates in the XIX century.
