The town of Álora, 50 km from the city of Málaga, situated in the Guadalhorce Valley, is celebrating its Day of the Sopas Perotas for the sixth consecutive year, it is a traditional local dish made from local products. All the typical products from this lovely town are promoted at the same time making the most of the day .
The sopa perota is a tasty dish that is easy to make, its ingredients include tomato, onion, pepper, garlic, mint, saffron, ground pepper and bread. 8.000 dishes are handed out accompanied by local wine, olives from Álora and bread baked in wood-fired ovens.
This day there will also be entertainment while you eat your lunch, with local flamenco singers and verdiales folk groups.
