In Grazalema, now a natural park, the ancestors of Fini Chacón made rich liqueurs from the wild fruits of the mountains, as well as traditional jams. Grazalemeño, liqueurs and homemade jams has decided to attend the FITUR International Tourism Fair, specifically the Cadiz stand, to promote their homemade products beyond the borders of the province.

“Our liqueurs and jams can be found in different towns and villages in Cadiz and in Andalusia in general, as well as in Madrid and Barcelona, but it's our aim to spread a little further”, Fini Chacón explains. For the production of its products, it only uses wild fruit from the Grazalema mountains, which is picked by hand — there are up to 15 varieties that are native to the area.

Fini is the fourth generation of this family business that has not changed the original recipe of his ancestors even slightly, throughout all the years it has been in operation. “We do not want to change the recipes that they came up with because they are unbeatable," he stresses.

Amongst the liqueurs provided by Grazalemeño are those made with hawthorn, sloe, carob, myrtle, jujube fruit, honeyberry, blackberry, wild cherry, cactus pear, liquorice, loquat and unedo.

The jams make the most of the wealth of fruits in the area. So there are blackberry, limonera pear, quince and unedo, cherry, tomato, fig, and bitter orange and spearmint flavours, amongst others.
