The Jose Maria Martin Carpena sports centre is a multipurpose sports pavilion in Malaga. It is the main indoor sports facility in the city of Malaga and one of the main sports complexes on the Costa del Sol. It is famous because it is where Unicaja Malaga plays.
It is the largest sports pavilion in Andalusia and one of the biggest in Spain; at present it can seat 11,300 people.
Originally, it held 9,743 spectators and had a surface area of about 22,000 square metres. In 2007, it was decided to extend the capacity due to the high demand for seats and subscriptions by Unicaja Malaga fans.

How to get to the Martin Carpena sports centre
It is in the west of the city of Malaga, next to the Guadalhorce river and near other sport facilities, like the City of Malaga athletics stadium and the Malaga Aquatic Centre.
There are good connections to the old town of Malaga, via the MA-22; and with the western Costa del Solh, and access to Malaga ringroad, Avenida de Velazquez, the west Promenade, and future line 2 of the Malaga underground railway.
What's more, Malaga-Costa del Sol airport is less than 5 km away.
