John Wilkinson, a.k.a. Wilko Johnson, is a charismatic musician, singer and composer who started out his career playing in a large number of local bands. In the 70s he joined Dr. Feelgood, one of the most influential bands of the period, and this marked a turning point in his musical career.
The multi-faceted artist –who always dresses in black– was acknowledged to be the driving force behind a string of critical and popular hits by the band. He then went on to become an icon of pub rock and rythm&blues.
Today, Wilko Johnson's musical appetites tend mainly towards blues, which he performs with his current band, the Wilko Johnson Band. The group will appear in concert in the capital of Huelva to delight their multitude of fans in Spain.
