Botanical Park

The botanical gardens of Andalusia are true protected areas where the highly varied autochthonous flora of each region (almost 60% of the flora on the Iberian Peninsula) has a place to grow in all its splendour.

Trees, shrubs, bushes, plants and species that have adapted over the years, make these places real, living botanical atlases where you can even find plants that are unique in the world, alongside the most diverse botanical species from around Europe.

These natural gems are also home to many different species of birds, reptiles, insects and even fish and amphibians that have made these gardens their habitat. Fountains, waterfalls and lakes make up unique, beautiful locations. This means that many of these huge gardens have also become ornithological parks and reserves for different species, many endangered.

Conservation of this botanical diversity and presentation of the resulting knowledge to as many visitors as possible is now the main objective of all those involved in running these sites. Andalusia invites you to take a stroll into biodiversity so that you can enjoy an understanding of the conservation of some of our most prized treasures.
