Biography

Andrés Peña was born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1976 and he started to dance in the schools of Adelita Gómez and Fernando Belmonte. He has been linked to great figures of flamenco since then like dancer Carmen Cortés, whose company he worked in, and La Chunga He also has danced for guitarists such as Pepe Justicia and José Luis Montón. Moreover, he had an interesting training period in tablaos such as Café de Chinitas in Madrid and others in Japan. Lately, he has worked with Duquende and he is a dancer of Eva la Yerbabuena's company. In 2000, he was awarded with the Young Performers prize in the Biennial of Seville, that was useful to start his solo career.
