Thalassotherapy Centres
From the Greek Thalasso (Sea) and Therapeia (Therapy), this technique has its origins in maritime surroundings and seawater.
The method makes use of all the properties of these natural elements, employing seawater, algae, mud and other substances taken from the sea.
The most important application techniques in thalassotherapy are hydromassage and the pool, where heated seawater is applied through jets, or baths with stimulating, revitalising, decongesting and relaxing properties.
Marine mud and algae are more effective when used in baths.
Concentrated muds are applied with wraps. Special mention should be made of algae cataplasms and combinations of algae and mud. These treatments have a thermal and anti-inflammatory effect. They prevent cellulite, stretch marks, rheumatism, arthritis and they stimulate the circulation.
Water culture will take you back to mother nature and the gratifying sensation of the immensity of the oceans.
