The construction work on the Palace of the Marquises of Benamejí began at the beginning of the 18th century in Écija, Cordoba. The enormous façade is made of brick with a stone skirting board. Two large towers at either end make this building look majestic.

As you go through the door, a large archway leads to the yard and stables, which house the "Caballerizas de Benamejí" Audiovisual Interpretation Centre.

Under the staircase you get to the main courtyard that has two floors with semi-circular arches resting on columns, and a stone fountain in the centre.

The Palace of the Marquises of Benamejí houses the Municipal Historical Museum which exhibits a collection of archaeological items found during urban excavations.
