Playa del Rompeculos

Don't be surprised by the name of this beach, Rompeculos beach, (rompeculos means "bum breaker"), nor imagine that it is a recent denomination. The name appears in maps of this "Arenas Gordas" (fat sands) area as far back as the 19th century, in reference to a small, irregular stream that broke through the line of dunes, opening up a path to the beach.
