One day at Malaga Fair

Every summer, during August, festivities, dance and the best of atmospheres come together at the Malaga Fair, which is always opened by an illustrious citizen of Malaga – who is a different person every year— and a stunning fireworks display over the city harbour to the rhythm of the music starting the summer fair.

A stroll along the spectacular Calle Larios is the best prelude to the "Real de la Feria" at the "fair centre", where a good glass of wine and a tapa is a good way to get in the mood.

All along this popular central street, there are lots of performances, rhythm, smiles and laughter amongst the Malaga residents and visitors who come together in the best of atmospheres to the sound of the music.

But if the people of Malaga are proud of their fair, it is because this fair does not end here. Proof of this is the Malaga Fair Pilgrimage, where horse riders, carriages and the people of Malaga accompany the standard-bearer to the Shrine of La Victoria.

Stunning equestrian shows in the "Real de Cortijo de Torres" where there are performances at different times of day and night with exhibitions on a variety of themes, and parades.

More than twenty Spanish song and flamenco performances.

A municipal auditorium with performances by national stars of the stature of Rosario Flores, José Mercé, Carlos Baute, Merche, Edurne or Efecto Mariposa…

Back at the Real de la Feria, tents, lots of live acts and, of course, sardines on a spit…

A hundred attractions for children and adults are brought together in a fairground ready to be enjoyed to the utmost by visitors.
