The Victorio & Lucchino Museum, located in Palma del Río, Córdoba, is a space dedicated to the work and legacy of the renowned Andalusian fashion designers, Victorio & Lucchino. Inaugurated in 2022, the museum is housed in the restored former convent of Santa Clara and offers a unique experience that merges art, culture, and fashion.

The museum boasts an impressive collection that includes a selection of their most iconic creations, from haute couture dresses to accessories and prêt-à-porter pieces.

The space is designed to provide an immersive experience. Additionally, the museum offers educational activities, workshops, and guided tours, allowing attendees to delve into the history of fashion and the relevance of Victorio & Lucchino in the industry.

The Collection:

Currently, the collection of the Victorio & Lucchino Museum – Santa Clara has no equivalent in the fashion world of our country. Victorio & Lucchino have been true pioneers as the only designers of their generation who decided to systematically preserve their work since the creation of their fashion brand.

The heritage preserved by the museum forms a unique cultural legacy that showcases not only the origins of their development as artists but also the contributions they have made as creators to the world of Spanish fashion. This collection allows the public to witness the garment creation process, from the initial idea in the designers’ minds to its debut on the runway. It consists entirely of prototypes and original models kept as they were designed by them, crafted under their direction in the Atelier and presented to the public on the catwalk.

A Journey Through the Creative Process:

This is realized through sixty iconic pieces belonging to collections that span their entire creative trajectory. These pieces display the amalgam of inspirations reinterpreted and filtered through the creative genius of Victorio & Lucchino. Dresses and accessories are contextualized and imbued with meaning, transcending their status as “contemplative objects” to become vehicles for transmitting sensations and knowledge.

The Atelier of Dreams:

A walk in the countryside, a journey, the light of a sunset, the joy of a celebration, the colors of nature, simple words… For Victorio & Lucchino, everything begins with a magical moment of inspiration.

Joy of Living from Andalucía to the World:

Light, joy, and color are the keys to understanding the fantasy and dreamlike world that inspires the designs that have conquered the world’s top runways. Inspirations from the Atelier transform into ideas and forms, resulting in a vibrant explosion of creativity and expression.

Universal Brides:

Brides who walk with firm steps, enveloped in a luminous atmosphere and a halo of almost celestial serenity. Natural and spontaneous women, true to themselves, free from clichés and impositions, reflecting the universal philosophy that resonates with thousands of brides worldwide.

Stars in the Night:

Sensuality, femininity, seduction, subtlety, in an outpouring of elegance that elevates creative philosophy to the status of Art.
Inspirations and sensations, both material and immaterial, woven into fabrics, forms, and textures that elevate women.

Creative Universe:

A demonstration of limitless ingenuity capable of transcending fashion design, imbuing everyday elements with their style that radiates their particular philosophy of “being and being present.”

Victorio & Lucchino: Mastery and Evolution:

Each new collection is a constant reinvention of their creative concepts. No one like them can convey in their creations the joy and elegance of the South, never forgetting that they live in the 21st century.

Santa Clara:

A building, a recovered story. In the heart of the walled city lies the former Convent of Franciscan Clarisses.

A building of great heritage value whose unique location within the town made it a privileged witness to the daily life of the residents of Palma for over 500 years.Since its founding in the late 15th century, its various spaces have witnessed periods of great religious and architectural splendor, interspersed with more difficult and complicated times when it nearly disappeared. It was Juan Manosalvas, a devoted servant of the Portocarrero-Bocanegra family, who, driven by deep devotion, decided to establish a convent in five houses he owned, dedicated to the Order of Santa Clara.

This was the first and only religious order founded by a woman, Clara of Assisi, whose rules were written by her for her Sisters.Over the centuries, these five houses, with the support of the noble Portocarrero family, transformed into what currently constitutes the convent that houses the Santa Clara Cultural Creative Space.

During the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, the necessary spaces and rooms for monastic life were constructed: the church with its bell tower, the choir for Divine Office, the dormitory, the refectory for meals, the new cloister surrounded by columns, the garden, and the cemetery of the Sisters.

Today, following its declaration as a Cultural Heritage Site, it has returned to the life of the Palma community thanks to a significant rehabilitation and restoration process, which has allowed the recovery of part of its historical legacy to become the headquarters of a new cultural project.
