Rodalquilar
The visitor centre in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar nature reserve is housed in a refurbished building which was previously the social centre for the workers in the old mining village of Rodalquilar.
The exhibition inside provides an explanation of the geological formations and the mineral riches in the area. The era of maximum splendour in this town coincided with the period when gold was extracted from inside the rock.
