Ecomuseo de la Cueva de los Murciélagos
Dedicated to the Cueva de los Murciélagos Natural Monument, the Cueva de los Murciélagos Ecomuseum is located in the vicinity of the area. It contains a specific interpretation of the karst, an indispensable complement for a subsequent visit to the cave.
The Cueva de los Murciélagos Ecomuseum also ventures into the mysteries of the Cave and the strange beings which inhabit the cracks in the rocks: bats, flying mammals equipped with a special system that enables them to see in total darkness. Finally, the exhibition highlights the importance of the archaeological remains found there, consisting of human and pictorial skeletons, which were the key to recreating the history of man's passage through the south of the Peninsula.
The Cueva de los Murciélagos Ecomuseum is part of the Trail of the Ammonoids in the Sierras Subbéticas Geopark.
