Nightlife
Andalusia offers a range of nightlife options to suit all tastes. There are giant nightclubs for a great night out with various different dance floors, bars, rooms for private parties and eating areas where you can get your strength back.
If you would rather have a more quiet night out, there are cinemas with all the latest films, and theatres offering top-level performances from the best of today’s companies and groups. You can also sit at any of the terrace bars to be found throughout Andalusia, and enjoy a drink and good company. Summer is the best time for this. Beforehand you also have the chance to try some tapas at one of the many typical bars offering excellent Andalusian cuisine.
If you prefer to be indoors, then there is a multitude of bars to go for a drink at night. They have all kinds of different atmospheres, so you are sure to find one that suits you.
You can round off your cultural entertainment in the afternoons, with a stroll around the city or a visit to art galleries and exhibitions showing works by established artists and new talent.
If you like gambling, or would just like a different night out, why not spend a fun and glamorous night at one of Andalusia’s casinos.
The nightlife in Andalusian cities tends to be grouped into areas, according to age and styles, so that you will always find a fun option to suit you.

The nightclub offering in Andalusia is very extensive. You can find multiple areas with different dance floors where the most famous DJs spin the best music, bar areas to relax and chat or barbecue areas to regain strength.
Most clubs in Andalusia, especially those created in recent years, are located on the outskirts of cities, in industrial areas, to avoid the noise disturbing the residents. They have contemporary designs with the latest technology in lighting, sound and video projection
Some of the clubs that you should not miss are Platinum in Malaga, Palko in Lucena and Dulce Beach in Huelva.
Don’t forget that almost all clubs have a free bus service. Enjoy the night without worrying about getting home.
After an exhausting day visiting the sights of our cities and towns, there’s nothing better than relaxing and sitting in a room to have a drink.
As in all cities in Spain, the nightlife spots in Andalusian cities and towns are always grouped into zones based on the atmosphere, age and tastes of the people coming out to enjoy the night.
It is certain that wherever you are, no matter how small, you can find a place for a drink and chat at night. Some bars will draw your attention due to their decoration, others for the excellent drinks they prepare, others for their music, their environment, but certainly none will leave you feeling indifferent. A wide variety to choose the one you like most.
Tapa hopping is one of the most typical Andalusian customs. There is no town or city without a bar or pub to taste the famous tapas of Andalusia. In some places, the tapas zone revolves around a street or neighbourhood, so we recommend that in each place you visit you ask which area is best place to go for tapas.
The specialties you can try are varied and both meat and fish are popular. Typical cuisine includes fried fish, shrimp pancakes, snails in sauce, ham and cheese from the land. Many of these establishments have a specialty and it is best to go round them all in the zone to have a different little tapa in each place.
Some of the areas that we recommend are the following: the central pedestrian area of Seville, or also the Triana district in Seville, la Puerta de Almodóvar or la Plaza de San Miguel in Cordoba, or the central or Eastern area of the city of Malaga. Although there is no doubt that in any town or city you'll find a place to relax, have a drink and eat some delicious tapas.
Also don’t forget the port areas of our community, where you can enjoy excellent fish tapas or delicious grilled shrimp in any little bar. Bon Appetit!
The theatre season gets underway in October and generally lasts through until June. Over the course of these months, Andalusia’s theatres present excellent productions, with performances by Spain’s best theatre companies. There are also shows from many amateur companies.
As with the rest of Spain, there tends to be less theatre during the summer. The majority of theatres organise festivals, dance shows and concerts to fill in the gaps in drama performances, given that most companies are on holiday during the summer months.
Some entertainment venues such as bars and clubs offer shows by stand-up artists, magicians and comedians in summer – one more reason to head out for an evening drink.
