Parque Minero de Riotinto

Riotinto Mining Park is an Goods of Cultural Interest, and it is a site or historical complex that offers to the visitors a magnificent history to learn about, adventures, visiting nature and various emotions.

We can take a trip by railway from the 19th century, to enter its mines and observe the authentic Victorian houses and in this way, learn about the history of its region, which is marked by the traces of 5,000 years of mining activity.

On this trip through the mines we will find unique and incredible landscapes, such as the Tinto River, which is unique in the world for its color and the composition of its waters. We can consider this natural landscape of the planet Mars, since as we have named the composition of the river and the color of its reddish-ocher waters are unique.
