The town of Alameda devotedly hosts these days of celebration.
Easter Week here is most famous for the processions involving the statues of the town's different brotherhoods. Palm Sunday sees the Pollinica take to the streets. At night on Holy Wednesday, the procession of Jesús Cautivo takes place. Maundy Thursday involves the procession of Jesús Amarrado a la Columna y Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno y la Virgen de los Dolores.
In the morning of Good Friday the Crucificado and the Virgen de la Merced pass through the town; in the afternoon, Santa Cruz, Santo Sepulcro and the Virgen de los Dolores head out; and during the early hours of the morning, the Virgen de la Soledad and the Via Crucis begin their processions. On Easter Sunday, the Sacramental Brotherhood walks through the streets with the Jesús Cautivo.
