Easter in Almería

Easter in Almería has become a huge religious festival in the city and one of the most important in Andalusia.

Nowadays, there are processions by over twenty brotherhoods, some with a long tradition. The wealth of carvings, embroidery and goldwork has meant it has been declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia, as there are throngs of foreigners and locals alike in the streets and squares of Almería over the period.
