According to the Legend of Zaida 'La Encantá', the spirit of this princess wanders around the towers of the Castle of Almodóvar del Río waiting for her husband to return alive (Prince Fath-Al-Mamun, son of the King of Seville Al-Mutamid), who died fighting against the Almoravids in the Alcázar de Córdoba (1091).

To commemorate this day, a Mediaeval Market will be held in Almodóvar del Río in memory of this legendary character.
