Caminito del Rey in a 4x4
On this beautiful tourist route you will be able to enjoy all the extraordinary features of the Caminito de Rey, one of the most spectacular routes in the world, with some sections literally hanging from vertical cliffs in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Nature Reserve in the heart of the province distributed between the municipal districts of Álora, Antequera and Ardales.
It is one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Sierra Malagueña mountains, with steep walls and deep ravines through which the Guadalhorce River flows after passing through the reservoirs of El Chorro, Guadalhorce, Guadalteba and Gaitanejo.
The Desfiladero de los Gaitanes is a ravine carved out by the Guadalhorce River in the municipal district of Álora, with access from the north via the Guadalhorce reservoirs and from the south via El Chorro, that at some points is only 10 metres wide but up to 700 metres deep.
After completing this wonderful route, you return by shuttle bus to the vehicle and the excursion continues through the wonderful natural environment that surrounds this area until returning to Antequera.
