Easter week in Baena has been declared to be of National Tourist Interest, thanks in part, to the unusual figure of the guild called "Judió" (Jewish), whose dress is especially remarkable. It consists of a red embroidered jacket, black trousers, white shirt, a handkerchief tied round the neck and a metal helmet with impressive engravings and crowned with a colourful cluster of feathers.
White or black manes of horsehair hang from the back which leads to this strange personality becoming either a "Judío Coliblanco o Judío Colinegro" (White-tailed Jew or Black-tailed Jew).
Such is its importance, that it has become the hallmark of the brotherhoods, leading to the rise of White or White-Tailed Brotherhoods (Ntro. Padre Jesús del Huerto, la Vera Cruz del Jueves and el Dulce Nombre de Jesús) and black or Black-Tailed Brotherhoods (Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno and Ntra. Sra. del Rosario), with those of La Borriquita and el Silencio remaining neutral.
