MEDITERRANEAN PHOENICIA ROUTE 6 days - 5 nights
"Phoenician" and "Punic" are the two names used by the Greeks and the Romans to describe the inhabitants of what is now the Lebanon in the first thousand years before Christ. Groups set out from here that with the passage of time settled in a good part of the Mediterranean.
They traded with almost all the most important cities in the Mediterranean and had a commercial monopoly for centuries. On their travels they journeyed beyond the "Pillars of Hercules" where on their first contact with what is now Huelva, they discovered the importance, both strategic and technological and the high quality of the raw materials and products from the coastal area and inland. In subsequent voyages they finally settled it what would now be Cádiz and established a trading market from the Western Mediterranean to the Orient. Metals, olive oil and salted products would be the most valued products traded.
