Song with a 'copla' of four, eight syllable, verses, the second and fourth ryming. It is a long style to be related to with the 'soleá' that is finished with a 'macho' difficult to execute It is characterised with the presence of some 'ayes' at the end of each 'copla' and some theorists consider it the basis of many songs. Currently it is a style that has once more taken on the dance, created by Carmen Amaya in the 30's.
