Pascua de los Moraos

The entire village of Carcabuey turns out in full to experience the “Pascua de los Moraos” Easter Sunday festivity, which is unlike any other to be found in Easter Week.

This curious Easter Sunday celebration has been declared an event of Tourist Interest in Andalusia.

It consists of a carnival in the streets, where the participants make the most of the occasion to criticise both the political behaviour, which is the butt of much laughter and joking, and the political actions by the authorities which deserve reproach.
