Pilgrimage in honour of the Virgen de la Fuensanta

Both oxcarts and tractors participate, and the path to reach the hermitage lasts several hours, arriving at the hermitage at lunchtime. The pilgrims spend the entire Saturday afternoon and night in the “Llano de las Marías”, located next to the hermitage. On Saturday late in the afternoon a mass is celebrated in honor of the patron saint.

On Sunday afternoon, among songs, dances and joy, all the carts come back in procession to the town, the winning cart in the contest being the one that carries the image of the Virgin of Fuensanta and takes it back to the church. , where it will remain until May 1 of the following year.

Every May 1, the patron saint, the Virgin of Fuensanta, is transferred to her hermitage.
