During the first days of May, Coín celebrates one of the biggest fiestas in its calendar. For several days the town fills with music, dance and joy to welcome spring. The festival has its origins in an ancient agricultural tradition in which farmers celebrated the coming good harvest.
The festivities have a very full and varied programme; parade with parades and floats, day fair, night fair, many attractions, live performances, sports activities, transfer of the patron saint the Virgen de la Fuensanta to her hermitage on the afternoon of May 1st and the celebration of the Day of the Cross on May 3rd, a local holiday.
