Manantial El Nacimiento Recreational Area

El Nacimiento is a spring located in the southern part of the town, in the area of the same name. It is one of the most abundant springs in Sierra Blanca. Its historical average value is 350 litres per second, which is currently much reduced.

Water is extracted from this spring to supply the town and the main rural districts for irrigation of their crops.

It is a historic and emblematic place for the local residents, recently adapted as a recreational area. It has picnic areas, a lake and a Forest of Books. The forest of books is a small route that runs through the recreational area and has different tree specimens dedicated to different groups and associations of the locality and an inscription with a literary quote.
