Crosses of May in Cordova

In early May, after the Battle of Flowers that welcomes the spring, is held in Cordova the Popular Competition of Crosses of May.

In the courtyards and squares of Cordova, large crosses decorated with flowers, pots and Manila shawls are built. Neighborhood Associations and Clubs put bars in the street, where they serve typical tapas and drinks, to comfort the visitor. This is enlivened with music and dance shows at night.

Walking around the neighborhoods of San Basilio, San Andrés and San Augustín give the visitor a perfect image of Cordova in May.
