Biography

Antonio Ríos Fernández was born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1970. He was the grandson of 'Tía Juana la del Pipa´, which is why dance runs in the family. As many Jerez-born artists of his generation, he made himself known with Manuel Morao´s shows. After this, he started to work for Cristina Hoyos and Antonio Vargas. In 1995, he was twice awarded a prize in the Concurso Nacional de Córdoba (National Competition of Córdoba), and in 1996 he danced in the Concurso de Jóvenes Intérpretes de la Bienal (young performers competition of the Biennial), which Israel Galván won it. In 1997 he set up his own company, which has offered several shows.
