On 8 September 8, the Patron Saint's day, dawn breaks in Fuente de Piedra with the town full of visitors and local residents returning home.
All the festivities are just a prelude to the main event at six o'clock in the evening: a belt race on horseback along the Calle Ancha.
The young ladies first parade along the street with the town band as an introduction to the riders vying to capture the belts by putting a peg through a loop.
