The José Antonio Valverde visitor centre is located on a small hill known as the Cerro del Palo, overlooking the Fuente de Piedra lagoon.

Its privileged setting near the lagoon offers the chance to enjoy spectacular views of the animal species who live there, particularly the common flamingo. This is the reason a large part of the exhibition is dedicated to this bird.

The Visitors' Centre has a reception area, services, souvenir shop and vending area, 2 free exhibition rooms, and a 12-minute audiovisual. You can also hire binoculars, audio-guides in different languages and carts.

1 October to 31 March: daily: 10 am to 2 pm and 4-6 pm. 1 April to 30 September, daily: 10 am to 2pm and 5-7 pm.
