Cahorros Ruta Senderismo
We begin the activity with an introductory talk prior to the Hiking Route through Los Cahorros.
The Monachil river canyon forms one of the most attractive, simple and popular hiking routes in the province of Granada. This gorge, known as Los Cahorros. It is also an area very frequented by climbing enthusiasts and ideal to spend a day in the countryside due to its proximity to the capital.
Los Cachorros area is a mid-mountain area of limestone materials. The ‘V’ valley of the Monachil river presents a vegetation of shrubs, wickers, poplars, reeds, espartal, river bank plants. Its fauna is rich in insectivorous and granivorous birds, amphibians and mammals such as wild boar and mountain goat populations.
On our route we will pass through the eras of the blacknegrales and portichuelos, through the suspension bridge, the cave of the doves, the central bridge of the valley, the path of the acequia and other more of spectacular beauty. At the end of the day we will eat at a typical local sale, with its spectacular menu from the mountains.
