Huerta del Rey
The Huerta del Rey visitor centre is in an extremely well-conserved area: the Sierra de Hornachuelos nature reserve.
During a tour of the centre visitors can learn all about the abundant fauna to be found in this area, particularly mammals and large birds of prey. A simulated nocturnal walk through the woods shows the dramatic changes that take place in the landscapes when the sun goes down, and also serves to sharpen the senses of the more curious onlookers.
October to April: Wednesday to Friday: 9am to 2pm. Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 2pm and 6 to 8pm. May and June: Wednesday to Friday: 9am to 2pm. Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 2pm and 4 to 6pm. July to September: Friday to Sunday, from 8 am to 2 pm.
