Huélago
Huélago is located to the western most part of Hoya de Guadix, at 53 km form the capital. This AREA was inhabited by the first Prehistoric civilizations in the Iberian Peninsula, as proved by the archaeological remains found in numerous parts of this region.
History
In the Middle Ages it was a borderline that suffered constant Christian incursions, hostility and robbery on the hands of the Castilian horsemen stationed in Cazorla who would attack the Muslim AREA of Guadix. It was conquered by the Catholic Monarchs as a preamble to the taking of Granada.Huélago
