José de Huéscar y Garví was a comic-strip artist born in Spain but who had to emigrate to France in the 1970s to find work. His relationship with Huéscar and the only reason all his work can be found there is purely because his surname coincides with the name of the town. Before passing away he decided to donate his artistic heritage in exchange for the creation of a small museum where his work would be displayed. One of the most historic 16th-century buildings in Huéscar was chosen, El Pósito

The exhibition consists of thousands of drawings, including examples from comics and books illustrated by the artist such as the famous dog Rintintin, "Hazañas bélicas", "Alicia", "Brigada secreta" and Rudyard Kipling's "Adventures of Mowgli" published by Vaillant.

The cartoonist was passionate about everything relating to the "Far West", which is why there is a series of drawings and paintings as well as a number of strange exhibits such as an American Indian feathered headdress, a tomahawk and a horn in which soldiers, hunters and explorers kept gunpowder for their muskets.

Free admission.

Tuesday to Sunday: 9am to 1pm. 4pm to 7pm Or by arranging a visit through the Tourist Office.
