The Teatro Darymelia has been declared of Cultural Interest and is extraordinarily located in the historical town centre of Jaén. It seats 300 people, and the stage is a venue for theatre performances, children's shows, musicals, concerts and dance and family shows.

It was originally built (1922-1927) as a cinema and takes its name from a combination of the two daughters of the architect, Justino Flórez Llamas who built it, Daría and Amelia. It was refurbished in the 1980s which is when it ceased to be a cinema and became a theatre. This refurbishment completely changed the layout of the hall and the stage. In 1992 the building was comprehensively restored by Isicio Ruiz Albusanc who was responsible for emptying the old cinema and giving new prominence to the main entrance, all that remains of the original building.

The box office is open from Tuesday to Friday 10am to 2pm and 6pm to 9pm. Two hours before the performance at the ticket window where the event is held.
