Biography

José Antonio Rodríguez Muñoz was born in Cordoba in 1964 and is one of the best guitarists in the city. He has won prizes in La Unión, Jerez and Cordoba in the beginning of the 1980s. He teaches flamenco guitar in the Cordoba Higher Music Conservatory, a position he earned with distinction.

He studied with Manolo Sanlúcar but he soon went solo and released "Calahorra" in 1985. Then he took up residence in Seville to work with the producer Jesús Bola. In 1999 he released "Manhattan de la Frontera", his most relevant album until now.
