The meeting point will be the stairs to the main entrance of the Alcazaba, next to the tourist information point on the renowned Calle Alcazabilla.

First you will meet the guide, who will give a short introduction about the statue of Juan Temboury, an illustrious citizen of Málaga. Then you will enter the Alcazaba to begin the tour that starts with providing the historical context for the Moorish era in Al-Andalus and linking this with the situation in Malaga at this time.

The tour starts with the lower enclosure and continues up to the palatial area at the top, which is why it is popularly known as the “Alhambra of Granada's little sister”. Then we will continue our tour of the historic centre, visiting the main landmarks in the city but from a Muslim perspective. We will tell visitors all about the Plaza de la Constitución, the cathedral and other places from a point of view that is different from the traditional one.

In addition, we will reveal interesting aspects of Muslim society as its customs, words and the ins and outs of the city.

We will finish the tour at the well-known Mercado de Atarazanas, an ideal place for tapas.
