Village belonging to the AREA of Condado and situated in the east of the province, on fertile land which is dedicated to the growing of cereals, olive trees and vines. In the village itself there are various monuments of interest such as the beautiful Parish church, the sanctuary of Nuestra Señora del Valle, the chapel of S. Roque, the chapel of Ntra. Sra. de la Victoria and Andalusia Square.
History
It seems that in Roman times it was a possible settlement that depended on Tejada.In the Al-Andalus period it was called Maxalia and depended on the kingdom of Niebla.
After the Christian conquest it depended on the landed estate of Seville. During this time it achieved a high degree of development due to the commercialization of its wines.
