Easter Week in Martos

Easter Week in Martos was declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia through the resolution dated 18 June 2002, given the long history of the celebration, originality and diversity of events.

The “Santa Vera Cruz Brotherhood“, “Nuestra Señora de la Soledad Brotherhood“and “Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno Brotherhood”, already existed in the 16th century.

Easter Week is one of the most important and popular religious ceremonies of Martos, due to and because of the fervour that it awakes among its inhabitants and tourists.
