Olive Festival

The Olive Festival takes place in early December to commemorate the olive harvest and it is also a tribute to the olive-workers, as Martos is the frist producter of olive oil in the world.

There are many cultural, technical and commercial expressions included in the fair, precisely on the 8th of December, the traditional date for the start of the olive harvest, everyone is invited to try "hoyos" (bread and olive oil), local people from Martos and visitors too.
