Mercedes Rodríguez Gamero was born in Sevilla in 1950 and was formed on following the school of Matilde Coral At the beginning of her career she worked in a lot of 'tablaos´, in Sevilla and in Madrid, something which she herself considers essential for the development of her talent She has performed pieces such as Medea, Bodas de sangre or La soleá and participated in Carlos Saura´s Sevillanas and Flamenco
