No doubt that Easter week is the celebration that most enthusiasm awakes amongst the people of Moriles.
In part due to the passion that the morilenses give to their Grand Week, in the year 2000 this festival was declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia.
Today, the celebration has 13 processions and 17 associations of biblical figures, representing allegories and scenes from the Old and New Testaments.
These associations accompany the different processions, endowing them with unusual colour and brushstrokes of plasticity. Thus, during its Easter Week, Moriles becomes an enormous stage, where some steps of the Passion and Death of Christ are recreated.
