Biography
Pedro del Valle Pichardo was born in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) in 1894 and died in Madrid in 1964 He was a curious guitarist as despite having been born in Jerez he never ascribed to the style of music from this land He always played accompanying singers, as he was an enthusiast of flamenco song and knew more about it than some of the performers of his era He moved to Madrid, where the record company Hispavox recognised his great knowledge of song and hired him to direct Antología in 1956 and a later one done in Mexico His son Pedro del Valle Castro, keeps alive his fathers style of guitar playing and name, as he uses the same nickname
