Biography
Pilar López was born in San Sebastián in 1912 She was a dancer from very young, as she had been guided by the steps of her sister, La Argentinita However the death of her sister kept her of the stage until in 1946 Pilar decided to found the Spanish Ballet, which she presented in Madrid in front a large public She maintained this dance company until 1973 through which many flamenco figures passed She put on shows such as Los cabales, Flamencos de la Trinidad, Madrid flamenco o Preludios e imágenes de Debussy She has been a great master as she has formed artists such as José Greco, Manolo Vargas, RobertoXiménez, Alejandro Vega, Antonio Gades, Farruco, Mario Maya or El Güito, amongst many others
