Polícar
North of Sierra Nevada, nearby the borderline of the Natural Park, sits the Granada village of Polícar. Its Moorish past can be appreciated by the layout of the streets.
History
The origin of this village dates back to the Lower Roman Empire. In the Nasrid period it was a farmhouse AREA implied the expulsion of the Moors and an end to eight centuries of coexistence in al-Andalus of three different cultures: Muslim, Catholic and Jewish. After the Moors were expelled, the AREA was repopulated with people from Castile.- Max 17
