White Villages
This brochure takes us into an area noted for the contrasting colours of the countryside and the whitewashed houses that seem to be climbing among mountains. The White Villages surprise us with little corners of great beauty in the Sierra de Grazalema Nature Reserve, with extraordinary flora and a very varied fauna; and Los Alcornocales Nature Reserve, which houses the largest cork oak grove in the world.
4 Routes are proposed for this region:
- A route through the centre of the region, from Zahara de la Sierra to Prado del Rey
- A route through the north of the region, from Puerto Serrano to Olvera
- A route through east of the region, from Cortes de la Frontera to Ronda
- A route through west of the region, from Algar to Villamartín
The brochure also has suggestions for active tourism and for getting to know the region's gastronomy and its craft work.
There is also a practical map of the region of the White Villages.
