Located in the Peru Pavilion, in Seville, the Casa de la Ciencia de Sevilla Museum is an open space dedicated to scientific, educational and cultural recreation. This historic building, inherited from the Spanish-American Exhibition of 1929, is the work of Manuel Piqueras Cotolí (1885-1937), a renowned Spanish architect born in Lucena.

It is administered by the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spanish Council for Scientific Research or CSIC), and its activities are based on the experience, heritage and research quality of this institution. The Museum has permanent exhibitions relating to some of the universal themes of Science, like the gigantic species that inhabit our seas, and the great geological transformations that the Earth has undergone over long periods of time, especially in the province of Seville.

Another of the permanent facilities is the Planetarium, which uses a variety of projections to bring the fantastic world of celestial bodies from all ages just that bit closer. Families play an important role at weekends, when there are workshops, demonstrations and guided tours to bring science to the whole of society in an easy and entertaining way.

Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 9pm. Closed on Mondays which are not public holidays.
